OUR SERVICES
Security and Backup
We protect devices, email and data against attacks and loss.
Small companies are hurt most by fake emails, stolen passwords and ransomware. We install endpoint protection on every device, turn on multi-factor authentication for accounts and filter email for malicious links.
We back up your Microsoft 365 data and important devices regularly. To make sure the backup actually works, we test restores at set intervals. We give staff short training sessions on spotting fake emails.
Frequently Asked Questions
Doesn't Microsoft already back up our Microsoft 365 data?
Microsoft keeps the service running, but it only keeps deleted data for a limited time: 14 days by default for email and 93 days for files. After that, or when ransomware encrypts your files, you need a separate backup to get them back.
How often are backups taken and how long are they kept?
We back up Microsoft 365 data and important devices at least once a day. Retention is set to your needs; for most companies we recommend one year.
How do we know the backup actually works?
We test restores every three months: we bring back selected files and one mailbox from backup and share the result in the report.
Is multi-factor authentication really necessary?
Yes. According to Microsoft, multi-factor authentication blocks more than 99.9% of account compromise attacks. We turn it on for every user and set up a backup method for anyone who loses their phone.
Isn't antivirus enough?
Classic antivirus catches known malware. Endpoint protection also watches for suspicious behavior, such as a program starting to encrypt hundreds of files in a short time. In the Standard and Complete packages we install endpoint protection on every computer.
Do you train employees?
Yes. In the Complete package we run a short phishing awareness training and realistic fake-email tests twice a year. The report shows how the team is doing overall, not individual names.
What do you do if there is an attack?
We disconnect affected devices from the network, secure the accounts and restore data from backup. Afterwards we send a written report on what happened.
